The new performing arts group LACE, the Los Angeles Contemporary Ensemble, will present a preliminary concert to its season this Sunday as part of the Altadena Heritage Society's Boho - Highbrow Weekend: A Tribute to the 1950's Altadena Music Scene.

Led by cellist Diego Miralles, the group will perform works by Shostakovich, Ravel, and Philip Glass. A pre-concert artwork exhibit will open at 1 PM.

LACE is a new format of contemporary music ensemble that seeks to enhance the accessibility and socialization of its medium. By making contemporary music easy to understand and interacting with audiences in a fun and enjoyable way, LACE strives to increase the popularity of its music among people from all walks of life. Join us on Sunday to see what it's all about!

Boho Highbrow Weekend also features a jazz festival on Saturday, October 24th. Starting at 4 PM, enjoy popular music of the 1950s, interpreted by The Bohos jazz group, while sipping cocktails as the sun sets.

Tickets: $20 Sunday (gets you admission to the art exhibit, concert, and refreshments at intermission), $50 for Saturday and Sunday, and $35 for Saturday only.

STUDENTS: Present your valid student i.d. for $5 off the price of admission for any ticket!
